Max and Paul are

... a couple of furniture makers with a passion for quality design. All of our timber pieces are created by hand, with heart.

They’re committed to creating modern, custom designs that complement the space of each client's home or business perfectly.

Paul and Max contacted us to design their website, which reflects the range of their services and shows off pieces they've created. They wanted their site to adopt a minimal visual style to allow their work to be the star of the show.

They created the logo themselves [see, they are clever guys], so when it came time to create their website, we needed to start from their logo and flesh out an extended creative direction. We broke down the creative elements within the logo - black and white, solid lines and heavy type - and looked at ways to integrate it into their site.

We often use lines to break up text, highlight sections and create a hierarchy, so in this particular case we beefed them up to be in line with the Two Planes branding. To ensure each page looks unique, we customised sections to use large blocks of black colour with white type - this creates contrast and helps important sections stand apart from the rest.

It’s important for the guys to update their site themselves down the track, so there’s nothing too complicated that can trip them up, and they’ll be able to show off more of their work as they make it [when they have time…!]
