The Retail Space
The Retail Space is a well established business with over 20 years experience behind it. Motivation for the business predominantly stemmed from discovering a gap in the market and a strong background in HR and management.
We met with owner director Fay on the very first day back at work of 2017, and when she was ready to move with the project it was well-informed, logical and came together without difficulty. Looking to modernise the brand, we created an identity that expressed the brand heritage and values.

The Retail Space see a need for a business with a certain level of detail, experience and personality. They focus on getting brands to sell more product through visual merchandising and retail activations. Using clever marketing and promotional strategies, they align with their clients’ brand — committed to bringing out the best in people.
They strive to share their creative, productive and managerial skills, and create professional, sleek retail experiences. The Retail Space covers a diverse range of retail areas including fashion brands, sporting retailers, marketing companies and much more. They understand the balance of beauty and business, and ensure visual merchandising and retail activation is embedded into every single project to complete a well rounded experience.
We created a clean and sophisticated brand identity to promote the professional but creative nature of the business, and of course flaunt their presence against some less sophisticated competitors.
The Retail Space was involved throughout process, but they were happy for us to really take the creative direction into our own hands, providing it was simple and modern - which was really fun and resulted in an identity that we really believe is the right fit.
Here's how it unfolded:
We provided Fay with 2 mood board options that took a slightly different approach. One was monochrome with deep blues to create a luxurious feel. And the other was monochrome with a touch of metallic and latte tones to create a sense of luxury and confidence. They chose to proceed with the second direction and they thought it best aligned with their vision.
The monochrome colours complement the latte and metallic touches.
We explored a number of logo variations that were minimal, but strongly visually. The shapes and lines are simple elements to help emphasise the san serif fonts.
This concept was selected and then refined over time to complement The Retail Space's heritage, values and vision.
The final outcome is clean, minimal and classic.
